It’s Not Only About Scoring for Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant has been the NBA’s leading scorer for the last 3 years. He’s been unstoppable in the playoffs – scoring at will against a Spurs team that did everything they could to throw him off. However, I think there was another element of Durant’s game that ultimately led to the Thunder’s incredible turn-around and victory over San Antonio.

During the regular season the Thunder were 17-1 when Durant had at least 5 assists. Against the Spurs, Durant went for 5+ assists in five of the six games of the series. If Durant continues to get his teammates involved like he is right now, I have a hard time seeing them getting beat in the NBA Finals.
